Names of places given are as appear in the National Register, reflecting name as given in NRHP application at the date of listing. Note, the National Register name system does not accommodate Spanish á, ñ and other letters.

[9] Several prose sources place the Las Cabañas Bridge in Barrios Capáez and Garzas,^[4]^[5]^[6] while other, map-based sources show it to be in Barrios Capáez and Juan González.^[7]^[8]

[CarreteraMuni-11] The listed portion of the Carretera Central extends into Caguas, Cidra, Cayey, Aibonito, Coamo, and Juana Díaz. The roadway route in San Juan and Ponce, as well as a portion in Caguas, was excluded from the National Register listing.
