This is an incomplete list of military confrontations that have occurred within the boundaries of the modern US State of Ohio since European contact. The region was part of New France from 16791763, ruled by Great Britain from 17631783, and part of the United States of America 1783present.

Several wars that have directly affected the region including the French and Indian War (17541763), American Revolutionary War (17751783), Northwest Indian War (17851795), Tecumseh's War (18111812), War of 1812 (18121814), and the American Civil War (18601865).

  1. The exact location of the fort is variously given as somewhere in modern Ottawa County, Sandusky County, and Erie County. The Ohio Historical Society and the Erie County Historical Society erected a memorial marker at Sandusky in 1979.
  2. The garrison consisted of 15 soldiers and their commander. Several British traders were present and killed at the fort during the raid.
