City in Isfahan province, Iran


Hasanabad (Persian: حسن اباد, also Romanized as Ḩasanābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Jarqavieh Olya District of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran. It also serves as the administrative center for Jarqavieh Olya Rural District.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,342 in 1,197 households, when it was in Isfahan County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,267 people in 1,377 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,478 people in 1,497 households.[2]

In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jarqavieh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Nikabad as its capital.[7]
