Farumad (Persian: فرومد, also Romanized as Forūmad; also known as Fārūmād and Furmāk)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Farumad Rural District[4] of the Central District of Meyami County, Semnan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,959 in 616 households, when it was in the former Meyami District of Shahrud County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,479 people in 529 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,529 people in 576 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Meyami County.[7] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
