  • Aphanopus carbo Lowe, 1839 (Black scabbardfish)
  • Aphanopus intermedius Parin, 1983 (Intermediate scabbardfish)
  • Aphanopus microphthalmus Norman, 1939 (Smalleye scabbardfish)
  • Aphanopus mikhailini Parin, 1983 (Mikhailin's scabbardfish)
