Andrew Aja Baryayanga (born 2 September 1979) is a Ugandan administrator, Microsoft Certified Professional, entrepreneur and politician. He is the reelected Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality[1] now serving a second term of office and is not affiliated to any political party in Uganda.[2][3]
Baryayanga is the Independents Chief Whip[4] and served on the Committee on Commissions, State Authorities & State Enterprises and the Committee on Natural Resources in the 10th Parliament of Uganda.[5][6]
In the 9th Parliament, Baryayanga served on the Committee on Commissions, State Authorities & State Enterprises and the Committee on Natural Resources and during this term, he challenged the Inspector general of Government (IGG) inquiry on the Karuma hydropower project in the constitutional court.[7][8][9] Baryayanga is also the founding director of Baata Engineering Company, an engineering contractors firm in Eastern Africa.[10]
