Ahmed Javed (born 1954) is a Pakistani Islamic theologian, philosopher, and poet. He is the former director of the Iqbal Academy Pakistan.

Biography

Javed was born on November 18, 1954, in Saiyed Sarawan, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. His family migrated to Pakistan in 1958 and settled in Karachi. In 1986, he moved to Lahore and joined the Iqbal Academy Pakistan as a researcher. He also served as the director of the academy from 2014 to 2015.[1]

Javed delivers lectures on various topics of philosophy, religion, and literature. He is known for his comprehensive analyses of the literature of Rumi, Saadi Shirazi, Meer Taqi Meer, Ghalib, and other notable Persian and Urdu poets.[2][3][4]
