The 2013–14 Boston Celtics season was the franchise's 68th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Celtics made several major changes to the team, including hiring Brad Stevens as the new head coach[1] and sending Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets.[2] The Celtics finished 25–57 and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2007. As of 2024, this is the most recent season in which the Celtics missed the playoffs.
