The 1998–99 Algerian Cup was the 34th edition of the Algerian Cup. USM Alger won the Cup by defeating JS Kabylie 2-0. It was USM Alger fourth Algerian Cup in its history.

the first leg was moved from Omar Hamadi Stadium (USMA's home ground) to July 5, 1962 Stadium (MCA's home ground) by the FA for "security reasons"; USM Alger did not show up; the FA subsequently awarded the game as lost by both teams (!, in spite of MCA's players showing up at the venue assigned); the JS Kabylie president (Mohand Chérif Hannachi) in fact pressed for elimination of both sides
