  1. the first leg was moved from Omar Hamadi Stadium (USMA's home ground) to July 5, 1962 Stadium (MCA's home ground) by the FA for "security reasons"; USM Alger did not show up; the FA subsequently awarded the game as lost by both teams (!, in spite of MCA's players showing up at the venue assigned); the JS Kabylie president (Mohand Chérif Hannachi) in fact pressed for elimination of both sides
