- Schluter won a July 1987 special election to complete the unexpired term of Assemblyman Dick Zimmer, who was elected to the State Senate.
- Kamin won an August 1986 special election to complete the unexpired term of Assemblyman Karl Weidel, who resigned to join the Department of Insurance.
