The 1951 Trenton State Lions football team was an American football team that represented New Jersey State Teachers College at Trenton, commonly known as Trenton State Teachers College (now known as The College of New Jersey) as an independent during the 1951 college football season. In their sixth year under head coach George Ackerman, the Lions compiled a perfect 6–0 record, held every opponent to seven points or less, and outscored all opponents by a total of 174 to 26. It was the first undefeated season in Trenton State history and came on the heels of an 11-year, 45-game losing streak that ended in 1949.[1]
