The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature[2] and the phylogeny is based on whole-genome sequences.[3][lower-alpha 1]

  1. Auritidibacter, Citricoccus, Enteractinococcus, Falsarthrobacter, Galactobacter, Garicola, Micrococcoides, Neomicrococcus, Pseudoglutamicibacter, Psychromicrobium, Specibacter, and Zhihengliuella are not included in this phylogenetic tree.[3]
