Workin' Moms is a Canadian television sitcom whose second season premiered on CBC Television on December 19, 2017.[1] The show stars Catherine Reitman, Dani Kind, and Juno Rinaldi, with Jessalyn Wanlim being demoted to recurring status from season one.[2] as a group of friends dealing with the challenges of being working mothers.[3] The series is produced by Wolf + Rabbit Entertainment, the production company of Reitman and her husband, Philip Sternberg.[2]

Six months after leaving Victoria Stromanger’s meeting in Montreal, Kate has been put on forced hiatus from Gaze and struggles as a stay-at-home mom. Desperate to return to work full-time, Richard lets Kate work as a part-time consultant. Anne wants Lionel to get a vasectomy. Frankie is offered a job at the ladies’ wellness center she is attending, though she is also reprimanded for having sex with numerous patients. Kate receives an upsetting phone call from Eleanor and Sarah, who informs Kate that her father has died. | ||||||

Ian, now separated from Jenny, joins the mom group under the suggestion of Val. While working on his screenplay, Ian bonds with Sonia, a friendly coffee shop barista. The Foster family deals with the recent death of Kate’s father. Feeling unfulfilled in her new part-time position, Kate searches for new work at Baseline, a hipster marketing company. Following Lionel’s vasectomy, Anne and Lionel begin an intense sexual relationship. Frankie quits her new job after a patient’s suicide attempt. | ||||||

Anne begins work at her new office building, but she is horrified to discover that Brad, her ex-husband, is performing hypnotherapy sessions in the same building. Kate balances her part-time job at Gaze and her new job at Baseline. A newly single Frankie jumps back into the dating pool, pursuing a relationship with two different women: the wealthy and possessive Dorothy, who gives Frankie a makeover; and the young and naive Juniper, who makes a move on Frankie at the local pool. | ||||||

Anne agrees to do a hypnotherapy session with Brad, who tries to hypnotize Anne with sexual thoughts; however, Anne has secretly recorded the session on her phone. Alice finds an old wedding picture of Brad and discovers that Anne and Lionel are not married. Ian begins dating Sonia. Kate gets intoxicated at work and pitches the same social media marketing campaign for both Baseline and Gaze. Richard places Gaze on lockdown, believing somebody in the office had leaked Kate’s social media campaign; Kate’s friendly assistant, Rosie, is mistakenly fired as a result. Kate and Anne’s friendship is tested when Kate misses a lunch date and fails to respond to her phone calls. Alice continues to question Anne and Lionel’s relationship. The members of Val’s Toddler Time attend a weekend-long outdoors retreat. The retreat brings out surprising truths about love and friendship, and unexpected revelations between the members: Ian confides to Anne and Frankie about a sexual issue; Kate and Anne’s friendship continues to crumble; and Anne comforts Alicia when her daughter experiences an allergic reaction. | ||||||

Richard arranges a meeting with Baseline and discovers that Kate has secretly been working for the company. Upon this revelation, Kate gets fired by both Gaze and Baseline. Frankie breaks up with Juniper. As Ian and Sonia grow closer, Ian discovers that his movie screenplay has been sold. Anne expresses concerns when Alice has her first boyfriend, and she hides a camera in Alice’s room. Alice discovers the camera and records a fake hostage video with her boyfriend intended to shock Anne. | ||||||

Fired by Gaze and Baseline, a depressed Kate spends her day watching TV and taking care of Charlie. She ends up spending the day with Alice, and helps assist Alice when she experiences her first period. Meanwhile, Brad manipulates Anne into guest-lecturing at the university, knowing Anne has a fear of public speaking. To Brad’s surprise, Anne goes through with the lecture, which is successful. Kate and Anne make up. Frankie becomes self-sufficient, and she decides to move out of Dorothy’s home. | ||||||

Kate meets with Richard, who acknowledges that Victoria’s ultimatum was unfair and suggests Kate reach a settlement for gender discrimination. After successfully reaching a pay settlement, Kate reveals that she wants to start her own business. Anne meets with Carly, an obsessive fan inspired by her university lecture. Ian’s meeting with a movie studio producer is interrupted when Jenny is reported to the police for leaving Zoe in a car. Jenny expresses her mixed feelings about being a mother to Ian, and suggests he get full custody of their daughter. | ||||||

Kate goes to her doctor after experiencing night sweats; the doctor finds a small lump in her armpit. Though Kate initially fears she has cancer, Kate discovers she is going through perimenopause. Frankie returns to her job as a real estate agent. Anne becomes concerned when Carly begins taking Brad’s hypnotherapy sessions, and she reveals Brad’s predatory behavior to Lionel. Anne decides to take on Brad’s predatory behavior by creating a community event for women who were hypnotized by Brad. | ||||||

At her community event, Anne meets with two of Brad’s students, who claim they were sexually harassed by Brad. The three women report Brad’s behavior to the dean; Brad is subsequently fired from his job and reported to the Medical Counsel. Kate gets her business up and running. Ian’s relationship with Sonia becomes complicated when Sonia, who has mixed feelings about children, reveals she feels uncomfortable being around Zoe. Frankie moves into her new home and meets her neighbor, Bianca. | ||||||

Anne and Lionel plan a commitment ceremony and invite numerous family members and friends, including Kate, Frankie, Ian, Val and Alicia. Ian and Sonia rekindle their relationship, and Ian takes Sonia to the ceremony as his date; Sonia starts to bond with Zoe, which pleases Ian. At the ceremony, Anne is pleased to find her mother, Jane, in attendance. Kate considers having another child, but she is horrified to discover that Nathan is pursuing an affair with Anne’s nanny. Returning from the ceremony, Kate discovers that she’s likely to be pregnant. | ||||||

On Rotten Tomatoes, season 2 has an approval rating of 91% based on reviews from 34 critics.[4] Which was a 14% increase from season 1.
