Looking from an overall perspective, I would like to request the lead sentence need to be followed consistently like this sample: [The uppercase letter] or [The lowercase letter] is the [position] letter in the Latin alphabet, used in the modern Latin alphabet... We should strive on consistency than anything else, as in B, the article denotes that it comes from the Latin-script, not Latin. While it may sound similar, note that each link either directs to different pages. Please start seeking for a new change or stay inconsistent on alphabetical articles. 2001:EE0:4BC8:DF00:B50C:773B:1A40:16BA (talk) 11:36, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
While consistency is often a valid concern, it does have its limits. Not every letter of the modern Latin alphabet has the same history, in particular, I/J, U/V, and W. Our first concerns should continue to be: Is the content of an article supported by reliable sources? What do those sources say about the history of each letter? Does it present a neutral point of view with due weight for valid (well sourced) interpretations of the history? After that, we can take regard of the Manual of Style, which specifically allows latitude in how articles are written. Frankly, I am more concerned that articles in Wikipedia are well sourced, written in an encyclopedic style, and reader-friendly, then I am about consistency of wording. Paleo-Balkan languages
A clarification is needed at Balkans regarding the so-called Paleo-Balkan languages. A user has added Albanian, Greek, and other Palaeo-Balkan languages, had their formative core in the Balkans after the Indo-European migrations in the region. sourced to Lazaridis et al. 2022 , which, however uses the wording These steppe migrants soon admixed with locals to create a tapestry of diverse ancestry from which speakers of Greek, Paleo-Balkan, and Albanian languages emerged., clearly distinguishing the modern Greek and Albanian languages from Paleo-Balkan. I've opened a discussion at Talk:Balkans, but additional community input from users versed in linguistics would be very helpful. Khirurg (talk) 16:32, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
He had an article on hu.wiki which was deleted, the same editor has created their BLP here. I saw something concerning at a VP and posted to BLPN. Thanks. Doug Wellertalk 11:40, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
"There is no Romagnol dialect, but an infinity of Romagnol dialects decreasing from place to place, as continuous variations on a common basis." There is definitely a place on Wikipedia for documenting the Forlivese idiosyncracies of the Romagnol dialect, which is discussed in multiple WP:RS, though it is something that this stub presently does not begin to discuss. But these peculiarities are best treated at Romagnol, unless we are going to make an article about the dialectal idiosyncracies of 70+ municipalities of Romagna. (To my knowledge, no other municipality in Romagna has yet been afforded an article on its dialect.)
