Without taking a position on the notability of this topic, or whether the following sources qualify as reliable, I note the following information, which was posted here by Mark Mirabello, Ph.D., on 23 January, 2009:

My little monograph, The Odin Brotherhood, is not an academic text, but it is constructed in dialogue form, to serve as a "primary source" for pagans. Since it has been in print for seventeen years, in five editions, someone is reading it. Other authors who refer to the Odin Brotherhood are listed: * Melton, J. Gordon. Melton's Encyclopedia Of American Religions (Encyclopedia of American Religions) 8th edition. Gale Cengage, 2009. ISBN 078769696X * Streeter, Michael. Behind Closed Doors: The Power and Influence of Secret Societies.. London: New Holland Publishers, Ltd. 2008. ISBN 1845379373 * Harvey, Graham. Paganism Today: Wiccans, Druids, the Goddess and Ancient Earth Traditions for the Twenty-First Century. Thorsons, 2001. ISBN 0722532334 * Kaplan, Jeffrey. Radical Religion in America: Millenarian Movements from the Far Right to the Children of Noah. Syracuse University Press, 1997. ISBN 0815603967 * Kick, Russ. Outposts: A Catalog of Rare and Disturbing Alternative Information. Carroll & Graf Publishing, 1995. ISBN 0786702028. For anyone interested, an academic review of my little work (by Dr. Sarah Pike of California State University) is available from Nova Religio.

Then again, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Odin Brotherhood (2006). -- John Broughton (♫♫) 16:45, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Request for input in discussion forum

Given the closely linked subjects of the various religion, mythology, and philosophy groups, it seems to me that we might benefit from having some sort of regular topical discussion forum to discuss the relevant content. I have put together the beginnings of an outline for such discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Religion/2011 meeting, and would very much appreciate the input of any interested editors. I am thinking that it might run over two months, the first of which would be to bring forward and discuss the current state of the content, and the second for perhaps some more focused discussion on what, if any, specific efforts might be taken in the near future. Any and all input is more than welcome. John Carter (talk)

Making this website more general

It has been said that this project group is inactive - maybe a more general project on mysticism in general would be more active. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 00:34, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

I could certainly live with that myself. The one problem I potentially see is that there might be some disagreement as to what exactly constitutes "mysticism." If we could find some sort of widely-accepted work, possibly a reference work, which specifically indicated what articles and subjects are an are not included in the field of mysticism by at least that work, that would possibly be very useful. Proposal for new WikiProject

I have made a proposal for a new WikiProject at Wikipedia: WikiProject Council - WikiProject Mysticism. Since mysticism has existed in many countries outside Germany, this would give a more comprehensive coverage of articles related to mysticism in Wikipedia. I wonder whether any one in this WikiProject group would help me start this WikiProject? Many thanks, Vorbee (talk) 17:17, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
