This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Ongoing projects in College Baseball

The postseason coaching carousel is winding down and we're finalizing 2019 pages. While you continue to work on these during the offseason, we hope you'll also consider helping us with projects of broader and historical interest. Many of these projects have navboxes with redlinks that need to be filled in. Some of our biggest needs are listed below. Please help us expand coverage of College Baseball!

CWS participants

Many editors (most notably Mizzou415 Billcasey905 and DMC511) have helped us to start season pages for CWS Champions and runners up. Our next effort will be to create season pages for each CWS participant. This will be a heavier lift, of course, so please see the table below for remaining CWS season pages needed and adopt a program:

More information Team, Appearances ...

Venues

We are trying to create a page for each Division I baseball venue. We have run into issues with notability of stadiums housing small programs, so please ensure you create an article citing independent sources - not just the program's web page. An easy place to find this is newspaper articles covering renovations, upgrades, and tournaments. Conferences not listed below are complete.

Coaches

As we are at the season end for many teams, make sure we keep an eye on creating an article for each current Division I head coach. I have been keeping up as best as I can using this link. Follow this page too if you're interested in helping: List of current NCAA Division I baseball coaches.

Please help us to fill in the navboxes listed here: User:Corkythehornetfan/sandbox

Conference Tournaments

Create a page for each season of active conference tournaments. Not all conferences have a navbox for their tournament yet. Feel free to create one if you wish to fill it in. Those with a navbox are linked below with the number of redlinks, those without a navbox link to the tournament page. Looking for years your team won? Check the main page of each tournament for a listing by school. Completed conferences (ACC, America East, American, Big 12, Big East, Big South, Big Ten, Big West, C-USA, MAAC, MAC, Mtn. West, NEC, Patriot, SEC, SoCon, WCC) are not included, nor is the Pac-12, which does not hold a tournament.

Program Pages

The following conference program navboxes have redirects. Please create a program page for those listed. The AEC, American, ACC, ASUN, A-10, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Big West, Horizon, MAAC, MAC, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, Pac-12, SEC, Southland, Summit, SWAC and Sun Belt are complete.

rank column in the game log table

I noticed that several editors editing SEC teams game logs list their own ranking in the rank column and if the opponent is ranked they put "at No. 3 Florida". My understanding is that that column was for the opponent's rank and it is enough to have the subject's ranking in the info box at the top of the page. Can you clarify this, because I have been editing Kentucky's page for the last several years and one of us has been doing it wrong. Thank you. rogerd (talk) 04:59, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

@Rogerd the style you describe the other editor doing it (team's own ranking in the rank column and opponent's ranking as "at No. 3 Florida") is the correct way - this is also done on college football and college basketball pages, where the schedule is done with a template and the opponent's rank and team's own rank have different parameters (rank and opprank). Would someone from this WikiProject please take a look at this post and see if they can help the OP out? The OP posted for help on my user talk page, and I advised them to use the article's talk page to try and seek assistance. -- Marchjuly (talk) 16:06, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello,

I created the page for this year's Auburn team several months ago but it got moved to draftspace and has been sitting there for 7+ weeks. The page is consistent with the other college baseball pages, at least in the SEC. The box at the top of the page says that I should ask here for help since its been taking so long. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. SouthernDude297 (talk) 02:24, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
