Should this template really be on municipal election pages like 1965 Israeli municipal elections? templates are generally meant to refer to other pages of the same topic, which, given how municipal election pages are more about the elections themselves (hence they appear on Template:Israeli elections), then about the municipalities they occur in (hence they don't appear on Template:Israeli administrative jurisdictions) (i'll be mentioning @Chefallen: in this conversation since he added the templates in the first place) Totalstgamer (talk) 13:22, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

I recognize that this template is not directly related to the topic of elections to those authorities, but I think it does provide easy navigation to more information in a structured way about the overall system of local authorities and administrative jurisdictions that generally isn't in the elections articles themselves and may be of interest to some readers (as it was to me). --Chefallen (talk) 17:28, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

I saw it being added to a couple of municipal election articles that are on my watchlist and removed it as I assumed it had been added in error. Generally articles should not have templates that do not include a link to that article itself. I'm also not sure it is really a useful addition. Number 57 17:30, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

I completely concurr. We already have a fitting template for these articles and there's no need for another one. I believe this template should be removed from municipal election pages as a result. Totalstgamer (talk) 10:37, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
