Although most sources recognize Clemson as the champion, the Clemson vs. Cumberland game is considered to possibly be one of the first championship type games in the south. Other sources say Clemson and Cumberland split championship. . SportsEdits1 (talk) 00:30, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
