Legislative districts in the state of Oregon


District 43 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the district is located entirely within Multnomah County and includes parts of north and northeast Portland. The current representative for the district is Democrat Tawna Sanchez of Portland.[1][2]

  1. Deborah Kafoury was the incumbent in this election. She previously represented District 18, but was moved to this district due to redistricting following the 2000 United States census.[5]
  2. Lew Frederick was the incumbent in this election. He was appointed to this seat on October 30, 2009 to replace Chip Shields, who resigned to take an appointment to the 22nd district seat in the Oregon Senate.[6][7][8]
