James Higgins (born c. 1922) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played at club level for Wakefield Trinity, as a prop or hooker.

Jim Higgins played at prop in Wakefield Trinity's 13-12 victory over Wigan in the 1946 Challenge Cup Final during the 1945–46 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 4 May 1946, in front of a crowd of 54,730.[1]
