Freshwater stingray may refer to species of two families in the order Myliobatiformes:

  • Grows up to 7.2 feet across (wing span)
  • Grows up to 16.5 feet long (head to tail)
  • Weighs up to 660 pounds
  • They eat crustaceans
  • The females don't lay eggs
  • They travel and hunt in groups of up to 10,000. A group of stingrays is called a fever.
  • They are the only kind of stingray that lives in fresh water.
