Description

Описание

The calligraphy of this page in nastaliq writing, fine and regular, in two columns and twelve lines, is true to the rigorous tradition of Herat. The border, which is later, was made using a soaked pattern -aks- and then the colour was carefully applied on it. The iconography is inspired in silk and brocade textile motifs that the famous Ghiyath al-Din Ali-ye Yazdi, a native of Shiraz, had produced in the imperial factory of cloth –boyutat-e saltanati -in Yazd. These ornaments enhance the text and subtly stimulate the reader.
