The other was a flight from Dublin, Ireland to an island off Newfoundland. The original target was New York City. This 8.5 by 11.5 inch (21.6 by 29.2 cm) magazine has 98 pages. The first issue of Popular Aviation was August 1927. The magazine's title was changed to Aeronautics in June 1929 then changed back to Popular Aviation in July 1930. The publishing company's name became Aeronautical Publications, Inc. in June 1929 then Ziff-Davis Publishing Company in April 1936. The direct successor magazine, Flying , is currently published by Hachette Filipacchi Media. |
