Object history |
English:
Coat of arms of the Danish Frederiksberg municipality. Granted 1899. The trees and the wall originally symbolised the urban and rural areas of the municipality but following the complete urbanisation of the municipality the trees are now said to represent the parks of the municipality. The crown symbolises Frederiksberg Castle which gave the municipality its name and the area's history as property of the crown. The falcons represent the former falconry training station at Frederiksberg Castle.
Dansk:
Frederiksberg kommunes våben. Tildelt 1899.
