Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik, Jayita Pandey and Kavita Krishnamurthy are only non-bengali singers to win this award. Sabina Yasmin from Bangladesh is the one and only non-Indian singer to achieve this feat.
