He competed at the 1936 and 1948 Summer Olympics.[1]
He represented England and won three gold medals in fencing at the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland, New Zealand.[2][3] He was a four times British fencing champion, winning the sabre title at the British Fencing Championships in 1932, 1935, 1938 and 1950.[4]
