Ahmad Ali Butt (Urdu: احمد علی بٹ) is a Pakistani actor, comedian, keyboardist, rapper, singer-songwriter, voice actor and television host.[1][2]

Early life

Ahmad Ali Butt was born on 20 oct 1977[3] into a family of Kashmiri ancestry.[4][5]

Career

Butt began his career as an actor with theatre.[6] He later switched to television, appearing in the sitcoms Jutt & Bond, Rubber Band and Inspector Khoji.[7] He would later star in films. He has also pursued a career as a comedian.[1]

Butt began his career in music, where he was a member of the alternative rock band Entity Paradigm (EP) as a vocalist and rapper, starting EP with his Jutt & Bond co-actor Fawad Khan.[8]

Personal life

He is a maternal grandson of the Azamgarh-born film director Shaukat Hussain Rizvi and actress and playback singer Noor Jehan, and son of the late singer Zil-e-Huma.[4][15]

His father, Aqeel Butt, was a jeweller well known in Lahore's ethnic Kashmiri community.[15]

Ahmad has three brothers.[15] His youngest brother Hamza Ali is a visual artist.[16]

Butt is married to model Faatima Khan. They had a son, Azaan, in 2014.[17]
